Intrusion (in-troo-zhun)...
The process by which water can slowly enter a recreational vehicle around seal points creating mold, mildew, and eventually ruining what once was an enjoyable RV.
Inspection and awareness.
These are the keys to the prevention of water intrusion. Yearly inspections by Motorhome Doctor can literally suspend the need to pay thousands of dollars in repair bills
Storm Damage ?
If your RV becomes or has been exposed to violent weather conditions please have your roof and vent systems checked. Most insurance covers storm damage, few cover water intrusion.

Motor Home Chassis Information
Freightliner: A dependable chassis with a focus on price. Freightliner got into the RV business in the mid-1990's when it purchased Oshkosh. Very popular in the entry level to mid-range Diesel Pusher's.
Dynomax: A proprietary chassis of Country Coach began in 1998 after Gillig left the RV market. Semi-monocoque, all-welded all-steel construction, including suspension mounting and adjustment, all IFS. A premium chassis with excellent ride & handling.
Dynamax The premium OEM chassis delivers pure power and up to twenty tons of towing capacity.
Gillig: A popular chassis for expensive, high-end DPs (Beaver, Country Coach & Foretravel) until 1997 when they left the RV market to focus on their school busses
Magnum: A proprietary chassis brand of Safari. Starting with the Safari line in the mid 1990's and migrating up the Beaver line in the late 1990's.
Beaver Coaches Inc. (1974 to1994)
Safari Motor Coach Corporation (1994 to 2000)
Monaco (2000 to 2009)
Navistar (2009 to present)
Newell: Proprietary chassis semi-monocoque chassis for very high end Newell Diesel Pusher's.
Peak: A proprietary chassis for Alpine. A relatively new design Huck-bolted raised-rail chassis with rugged features similar to the old Gilligs. Uses heavy-duty Four wheel hydraulic disc brakes.
Roadmaster:
Monaco was incorporated in 1968 as the Caribou Manufacturing Company. They began building pickup campers. The most popular line was named "Monaco." In 1977 the name was changed to Monaco Coach Corporation. It acquired the Roadmaster Chassis Division of Chrysler Corporation in 1984 and the Holiday Rambler Division of Harley-Davidson in 1996.
Since 2009, the Monaco® RV brand has been a part of Navistar®, a global transportation leader with more than 180 years of experience.
We are in the process of moving our corporate information to the Navistar website. Please visit http://www.navistar.com for more information. Please choose which of our three world-class RV brands you'd like to explore, and join us for the ride.
Spartan: A Custom chassis builder that makes Motor Homes and fire engine chassis exclusively. They are more known for their high quality components in the mid-range to high-end Diesel Pusher's.
Foretravel’s innovation is evident in its exclusive TravelRide chassis. This superior design originated in 1987 when Foretravel engineered and manufactured a fully monocoque chassis deemed the Unihome.
Many RV manufacturers prefer to build their homes on a chassis that they purchase from companies such as Ford, Freightliner, Spartan or Workhorse, because they are the industry’s leading chassis manufacturers. By doing so, the manufacturer can focus its efforts on building just the house. Of course some produce their own proprietary chassis platforms, while others mix it up and produce their own chassis for higher end products and purchase the platforms for other products in their lineup. Many floor plans offered by various RV manufacturers can actually be ordered on a variety of chassis from these manufacturers!
Workhorse: Was the first chassis manufacturer to design and build a chassis specifically for the Class A Gas motor home market. Before we came along most manufacturers built on chassis intended for commercial applications. This is one of the many things that makes us a New Breed of chassis company.

CLASS C MOTORHOME REBUILDS
For the most part there are two types of rubber roofing used in the RV industry: Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) and Thermal Poly Olefin (TPO). The problem is each type has its own unique characteristics and care and maintenance requirements, but most RV owners don’t know which type of rubber roof they have.
